Self Sealing

No engine can run without fuel but protecting the fuel can be a very heavyweight problem when an aircraft or vehicle comes under fire. In many applications it is not possible to protect the fuel tank with armour plate. At FPT we have close to 70 years experience in the design of self sealing fuel tanks. Our composite flexible and rigid self seal tanks can self seal within 10 seconds of being penetrated by a NATO 7.62mm round (capabilities also exist for) 12.7mm or 50 cal round.

In addition, or in in its own right we offer light weight explosive suppressants, all variants which also act as anti-slosh medium.
