† Technical Support
† Customer Support
† Quality Products
Quality designs, quality manufacture, and quality service are paramount throughout our business. No effort is spared to achieve the highest possible standards.
We start with the best raw materials and use highly developed production techniques with strict quality control, culminating in a thorough inspection procedure of the finished product
Manufacturing Capabilities
We manufacture Seals, Gaskets, and elastomeric components in a wide range of different materials using our range of both compression presses and Injection presses. Manufacturing components with rubber to metal bonding, PTFE to rubber, fabrications, extrusions, and using proofed fabrics manufactured in house for various products.
We have vacuum moulding facilities as well as Rotational Moulding facilities along with our in house gasket cutting service in many sheet materials. We manufacture our own Hyclad seal, gasket and washer material which is used extensively in many applications, in a wide range of industries.
We manufacture everything, from simple O Rings to large custom mouldings and complex rubber to metal components, all to the very highest standards of quality and precision.
We have materials to suit everyday environments to advanced rubber technology for extreme environments, FKM, HNBR, Silicone etc
Precision Seals and Gaskets
FPT Industries manufacture a wide range of Seals and Gaskets, whether moulded or extruded to many companies in a wide range of industries.
Working hand in hand with our design engineers we provide expert advice on materials and performance to ensure your products meet specification. We specialise in designing and manufacturing seals to suit the all environments.
Our materials are mixed in-house to give us total control of your sealing requirements. Our materials are continually being developed to suit the ever increasing demands put upon them. Materials are developed for -
† Chemical Resistance
† High Temperature Resistance
† Low Temperature Resistance
† Pressure Resistance
† Abrasion Resistance
† Electrical Resistance
† Low Friction
† FDA & WRC Requirements
FPT Industries will develop materials to suit your unique application. We understand that quality is critical in these high performance parts, and that a rubber component, whilst often unseen, remains a crucial item in an engineering application.
We can produce multi cavity tooling for mass production or one off tools for prototypes or low volume requirements. Every customer receives the same high level of service, whether it be technical advice, engineering solutions, or customer service.
Hyclad
Gaskets, and washers
Hyclad fuel and oil-resistant material is a laminate constructed from a specially treated metal sheet, usually light alloy, with a layer of selected rubber bonded intimately to one or both faces. The metal layer controls the natural tendency of the rubber to spread beyond the joint face limits and maintains the shape and degree of compressibility of the seal, which can therefore be used repeatedly without damage or deterioration.
The high torque loadings and degrees of finish often associated with conventional sealing methods, particularly in the case of large diameter couplings, are substantially reduced where Hyclad gaskets are used. No sealant is necessary and there is no risk of contamination of the system. Pressures of up to 10,000 p.s.i. are accommodated by the smaller Hyclad gaskets with no special machining or preparation of the joint faces.
Compatibility
Many grades of natural and synthetic elastomers have been developed to meet the exacting demands of modern industry and commerce. These elastomers, a selection of which is given in the accompanying table are extensively used in the manufacture of Hyclad gaskets for engineering systems where the following are to be found:
Petroleum Fuels
Mineral Oils
Vegetable Oils
Alkaline fluids
Ketones
Aromatic fluids
Medium strength acids
High test peroxide
Compressed air
Carbon dioxide
Fruit Juices
Alcohol
Drinking Water
All hydraulic fluids including Skydrol, and D.P.47
HYCADAMP
Utilising the same production methods of 'Hyclad', this material reverses the laminates producing a high performance damping medium used across multiple industries.

Applications
Hyclad re-usable gaskets many be used under bolt heads, nuts, cap nuts, rivets, access panels, or on unions, banjo bolts, flanged and coned couplings etc. Listed below are just a few of the many applications where Hyclad re-usable gaskets can be used to great advantage.
Hydraulic test and power equipment
e.g. pumps, filters, control valves, pressure switches, actuators, rams, selector valves.
Steam and hot water systems
Petroleum and kerosene installations
Oil pipe lines
Electrical installations
e.g. moisture seals for plugs and sockets.
Integral tank systems
Sealing strips and structural sheeting in Hyclad assist in simplifying the design of integral tank systems. Notable advantages achieved are a saving in weight and freedom from attack by bacteriological slime.
Standard Hyclad sheets are available in sizes 12" x 12", 18" x 12", & 24" x 24", and in sheeting up to a maximum 2' 6", in lengths up to 3' 6" using 16 and 26 S.W.G. light alloy with rubber thicknesses from .005" to .030". Other sizes can be made to order, and gaskets and compounded forms manufactured to customers' drawings.
