With increasing technological advances in weapons systems comes a comparable rise in the cost of the equipment. In recent years governments around the world have increasingly invested in reusable training technology for missile and torpedo operational training.

FPT has been at the forefront of creating routine programmed flotation systems that operate at the end of a missile flight or torpedo run in order to allow the recovery of the equipment from the sea. Through the development of high temperature resistant polymers we utilise exhaust gases from the propulsion system to inflate the collar or lift bag and return the missile to the surface for collection.

Cold gas inflation is also accomodated.
